Whether we are ready for the holidays or not, they are here!! That means a time for family gatherings, great food, friends, laughter, and love.  The holidays should be a time to enjoy, reflect, and relax. For many of us however it is also a time when we take on too much while trying to create the perfect holiday memories.  Maintaining balance and knowing your limits can greatly reduce the one thing we don’t need during the holidays… STRESS.

Think about your perfect holiday season and commit to it for yourself and your stress levels. You can do this by knowing your limits. We love to over commit ourselves during the holidays, it seems that we are always running from one commitment to another.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by the number of engagements, gift exchanges, company potlucks, kid functions, and holiday dinner parties; just remember it is ok to say no. It’s OK to say no even if you have nothing else going on that night but Netflix and chill. Having the ability to maintain balance will get you through the holidays stress free.

Focus on the positives during this holiday season. Try doing a morning and night meditation session. It does wonders to help clear the mind and relieve the body of stress. Focusing on the positive also means not focusing on the things out of your control, we tend to dwell on things that we can’t fix which leads to stress. Instead focus on making room for the things you can control and move on.

If you’re not already, start taking an immune support multi-vitamin like Ground-Based Nutrition’s Emergency Immune Support. Getting that extra boost of Vitamin C and D3 as well as echinacea can boost your immune system and help combat stress.

The holidays can sneak up on us but this year we are going to maintain balance and stress less!!
