Are you tired of spending hours doing cardio and getting nowhere?

Try stepping off the treadmill and picking up some weights instead. Recently men and women alike have found the holy grail to achieving overall health and fitness … weightlifting. That is because weightlifting will help with weight loss, building muscle, cardiovascular health, and keeping your metabolism going long after you finish your workout.

Give it a try! You can use free weights or machines to achieve that sculpted physique. Start off using weights you can complete several sets with and then increase the weights as you increase your endurance

Here are some simple weightlifting exercises to get you started:

(Remember to use weights that you are able to complete multiple reps with while keeping good form.)

  • Weighted Squats
  • Curls
  • Chest Press
  • Bent over Rows
  • Kettle Bell Swings
