In honor of NYFW, it felt appropriate to write about fashion trends that are taking over activewear right now for both men and women.

1) Men wearing leggings

It seems like this one has grown over the past two years--Men wearing leggings (workout tights) under their gym shorts. Men's activewear brands have shown men that leggings are comfortable and also fashionable for men.

2) Colorful matching sets for women

Activewear brands are making matching sets for women. A set meaning a sports bra, legging, and jacket of some kind. Most women are more into the matching sports bra and legging look. In fact, some brands like alo yoga, have recently started selling colorful matching sets together.

3) High-waisted leggings

The higher the waist, the better the fit. Seriously, what were we thinking in the early 2000s with low rise? There's nothing more flattering than a pair of high waisted leggings. Plus, they stay up during your workouts and you don't have to stop mid rep to pull them up.

4) Printed Biker Shorts

Biker shorts have come a long way the past two years. This year they will be more popular than ever. Prints will be bigger than ever from what I've seen with fashion influencers already. Grab a cute set in a cute print you love!
